Hong Kong, a financial testing ground for China, has seen crypto currency ETFs reach an all-time high.
Three crypto currency futures funds in Hong Kong saw an increase as Bitcoin surpassed $52,000 on Thursday.
CSOP, the first Bitcoin futures ETF in Hong Kong, closed the day with a 3.56% increase at a level of $2.67. This surge reached its highest level since December 2022. Samsung’s Bitcoin futures ETF also experienced a 3.67% increase.
CSOP’s other ETF, the Ethereum ETF, ended the day with a 4.56% increase.
In addition, other stocks containing blockchain and crypto currency in Hong Kong saw significant increases. Many companies in Hong Kong had announced that regional regulators were ready to approve spot ETFs.
According to a joint statement by the central bank of Hong Kong HKMA and the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), officials announced that they were ready to accept products other than futures ETFs for crypto currencies.
